Outstanding fiction for adults.

Maverick Reading List

The purpose of the list is to encourage students in grades 6-12 to explore a variety of current books. The TMGNRL list is intended for recreational reading, not to support a specific curriculum.

SPOT (Spirit of Texas)

The purpose of the list is to encourage youths in grades 6-12 to explore a variety of current, quality books from Texas authors and illustrators, develop critical reading skills, and to encourage greater interaction between Texas authors and illustrators, Texas librarians, and Texas youth.

Tayshas

 The goal of the TAYSHAS reading list is to motivate young adults to become lifelong readers and to participate in the community of readers in Texas. Students in grades 9 โ€“ 12 are encouraged to read books for pleasure from the list which includes fiction and nonfiction titles. Fiction and nonfiction for grades 9 โ€“ 12.

 Bilingual reading list for ages 5 โ€“ 12.

Teen Blog

The Teen Hub Blog is the newest addition for teenagers http://ncplteenhub.blogspot.com/! The Teen Hub Blog will serve as a place for teens to publish and read authentic book reviews. It is designed for teenagers to express their views on YA books. Also, the blog has many resources for teenagers needing help with homework, passing tests, and college.
