Texas_2x2_Reading_List_Logo2x2 Reading List

The 2X2 Committee‘s charge is to produce a list of 20 recommended books for children, age two to grade two.

 

TBATexas Bluebonnet Award Books

 

The Texas Bluebonnet Award list contains books selected for the interests, content, reviews, and quality relevant to students in grades 3 - 6. Both fiction and nonfiction books are represented.


LoneStarTexas Lone Star Reading List

 

The Texas Lone Star list is a recommended reading list developed by public and school librarians from the Young Adult Round Table. The purpose of the list is to encourage students in grades 6, 7, or 8 to explore a variety of current books.

Caldecott Medal

The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of 19th-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
