Spoon Story Kits

We have Spoon Story Kits to interact with your child. Each kit has 3 to 4 spoons of a character of the book that is in the bag. The Spoon Story Kits are available for checkout for 2 weeks with a limit of one per family.

Sensory Backpacks

Nueces County Keach Family Library is initiating sensory backpacks (Young Learners of the Heart) in coordination at our Keach Family Library and Bishop Branch Library to provide a all-in-one, take home kit for families that are designed to help children build life skills, social skills and reading comprehension. The Sensory Backpacks are designed to help children on the autism spectrum or sensitive to sensory overload by providing books, writing activities, tips for caregivers and sensory items. The Sensory Backpacks will be available for checkout for 2 weeks with a limit of one per family. This project is made possible through a grant provided by the Texas State Libraries & Archives Commission (TSLAC).

Steam to Go! Kits

Our STEAM to GO! kits have interactive STEAM (science – technology – engineering – art – math) resources to create safe and innovative learning environments that foster the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity. Each kit includes a high-interest prebound book paired with interactive STEAM resources on the same topic.

CAKE PANS

Borrow one of our cake pans to make your party or special day even sweeter!

Need a specialty cake pan, but don’t want to buy it?!

Check out our collection of pans you can borrow for FREE! We currently have 8 different styles to choose from!

How it works:

• Check out our online catalog to view a cake pan availability.
• Pans can be borrowed for 7 days and can be renewed once.
• Pans can be placed on hold for 24 hours
• One pan at a time, per family.
• Please hand wash and dry the pan before and after using (washing in the dishwasher may cause discoloration and possible damage to the pan).
• Cake pans must be returned inside the library to prevent damage.

If pan is returned dirty, there is a $10.00 charge.

There is a late fee of $5.00 per day

If pans are not returned, there is a $30.00 fee
