Physical Library Cards

Your Library Card is your key to checking out books, library materials at both of NCPL's locations and the Digital Library.

Head to your nearest County Library and we ask you please bring photo identification or drivers license to obtain your physical library card.

  • Register Online (click on Apply Online  above)
  • Send photo of Driver License to our email at keachlibrary@gmail.com or Upload ID 
  •  If you are ages 13-17, you can show Student ID, to have limited access or bring an adult with you to obtain a Teen Library card.
  •  If you are under age 13, bring an adult with you.


Out of District?

All residents with a Valid Texas Issued ID are eligible for a Library Card.

Out of District Library Cards are still free, however your card will need to be renewed every year.


Educator Card:

Are you an educator? Teachers and educators may apply for Educator Library Cards.

What is the cost?

Library cards are free for Nueces and Out of District residents.

Lost you library card?

All replacement cards are $2


 Renew a Library card

To renew a library card please call the Nueces County Keach Family Library front desk or email us with a photo of your Drivers License and any changes in address keachlibrary@gmail.com.


TexShare

TexShare is a statewide program that helps libraries and their patrons share resources.

Permanent library cardholders at least 6 months in good standing with a valid Texas ID on file can request a TexShare card free of charge from Nueces County Public Library (Keach Library Branch)

Take your Nueces County Public Library TexShare card to any other TexShare library, and you can register as a member of that library without paying out-of-district fees.

The Nueces County Public Library will honor TexShare cards from other TexShare member libraries.
